Project Manager of Center Noordung
Categories: Alumni, Public sector
Tanja comes from Slovenia and spent seven years working in China between 2006 and 2011, where she was a mentor to young local talent. One of her visions was to provide an idea of ethical, empathic and nature centric way of living and working, since the culture in China had a very traditional growth concept.
From 2013 till 2015 she was living and working in East Africa – Kenya, Tanzania and South Africa, where she was part of the team that was focused on recycling electronic waste. Again, they built a local team of young like-minded individuals and worked on bringing awareness and collaborative way of working with the aim of applying a value system that is based on cooperation.
Since 2016 she is actively participating in the Slovenian social economy ecosystem. First few years through a social enterprise (3 partners) and later as an employee of a public institution where they were part of an international consortia working on developing a Social Innovation strategy for Alpine region.
In May 2021 they just started with a new transnational project in which they are building SI competence centres in 4 EU countries.
She is very eager to learn and meet new people that will provide new knowledge and perspective.
