My name is Fr. Charlie B. Chilufya. I am a Jesuit. I am the Director of the Justice and Ecology Office of the Jesuit Conference of Africa and Madagascar (JCAM). I coordinate all Jesuit international development work in Africa, I work to create synergies for greater impact of the Jesuit social ministry in Africa. My office also provides liaison and creates strategic partnerships in matters concerning justice and ecology within and beyond the Jesuit organizations and units.
My office is a vital African Jesuit Conference interface between global policies in the economic, social and environmental spheres and local issues confronting populations in Africa and Madagascar. I operate at executive level with a killer blend of strategic partner engagement and international advocacy, with a deep background in strategy, international development, networking and economic analysis with a focus on tax justice and knowledge economics.
I hold three BAs in Urban and Regional Planning, Philosophy and Theology and a Master of Research (MRes) in Business Economics and Management from ESADE Business School in Barcelona.
