Georg Schön

Before joining Ashoka, Georg worked for NGOs and International Organizations in Central America and Southeastern Europe. He worked in Skopje, Athens, Istanbul and Barcelona with UN agencies and advised Multilateral Organizations governing the Black Sea and the Mediterranean Sea on green economy and climate change adaptation. Earlier in his career Georg spent several years working on human rights and environmental conflicts in Mexico, as social entrepreneur and peace journalist.

In his years with Ashoka, Georg has helped to relaunch Ashoka in Central Europe, built-up an amazing team in Austria and co-initiated social entrepreneurship programs like the Ashoka Visionary Program and Impact Transfer. He co-created national and international incubator and accelerator programs on a range of fields. Georg started the Fellowship Europe Program to advance social entrepreneurship in Europe. Currently he is passionately building collaborations with the social entrepreneurship movement in Africa.
