Kirsten Tangemann

 Kirsten is managing director of Social Business Hub Styria – a social & green business incubator and network for people who solve social challenges in an entrepreneurial way. We develop, promote and support social innovations, inspire and advise founders in Southern Austria, build strong networks, foster cross-sector collaboration and disseminate our expertise, thus working towards a fair and sustainable society.

After studying music and earning a doctorate in biochemistry and biophysics, Kirsten dedicated herself to international medical research for more than ten years to elucidate disease mechanisms. As the first managing director of the academic business incubator Science Park Graz from 2002 to 2007, she laid the foundation for the systematic support of high-tech startups in Styria. Since 2008, she has been working as Managing Director of Quadris Consulting GmbH as an expert in innovation management, entrepreneurship and as a scientist lecturing at the University of Klagenfurt. Strategy consulting projects for public institutions and companies focus on projects with socio-ecological relevance and impact. With this in mind, she founded with Rudi Wetz-Piewald in 2020 the program Social Business Hub Styria, a competence center for social entrepreneurs.
