Felix Oldenburg is the co-founder of the fintech startup project bcause and the spokesperson for the board of gut.org gAG, a holding company for digital social enterprises (including betterplace.org). The social entrepreneur founded the Dialogue Neues Geben (New Giving) in 2019 as a conversation platform for a new culture of wealth engagement. From 2016 to 2020, Felix Oldenburg served as Secretary General of the Association of German Foundations, which has 4,500 members. As an expert for the European Commission and as chair of the European foundation network DAFNE, Felix Oldenburg supported several funding programs for social innovations and advocated for the idea of an EU single market for philanthropy. Previously, from 2009 to 2016, he advanced the social entrepreneurship movement in Germany and Europe as managing director of the global social entrepreneur network Ashoka. 

With degrees in philosophy (Bonn, Tübingen, Oxford) and public management (Georgetown), Felix Oldenburg began his career as an internet entrepreneur, consultant at McKinsey & Company, and initiator and moderator of major citizen participation processes. He publishes and is involved in voluntary work for social entrepreneurship, philanthropy, and impact investing, including serving on the advisory board of KfW Capital and the German Committee for UNICEF. Felix Oldenburg lives with his family in Berlin.
