Stefan Lilischkis is a senior researcher and consultant at empirica Gesellschaft für Kommunikations- und Technologieforschung mbH (empirica.com) in Bonn, Germany. His work involves managing projects and studies in the field of innovation and entrepreneurship. His most important client is the European Commission. In addition to his work, he supports the winners of the “Engagementpreis” (Engagement Prize, engagementpreis.de) which is granted annually by former scholars of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation. This prize supports new and promising social initiatives. He has a doctoral degree in economics from the Ruhr University Bochum (2001) and wrote his dissertation about promoting start-ups from universities. Both his education and work has enabled him to travel to many European countries as well as to the US, Qatar and Zimbabwe.
