Tomas was born in 1983 in Prague, but he grew up in a small town called “Tynec nad Sazavou”. After high school in 2001 he moved to Prague to study law. In 2008 he obtained a Master’s degree at the Faculty of Law of Charles University. After graduating from university, he joined a law firm as a junior lawyer. Several months later, he found out that this law company lacked humanity.
At that time, he was offered a job to become a director of a nonprofit organization (called “Information Centre Nicholas”) dealing with foster care. He accepted that challenge and created a functional network of organizations dealing with alternative family care and a network of foster parents. In 2012 he decided to try something else and he became a CEO of Felicius – Open Minds Event & Marketing Agency.
But in the same year after few months he met a Czech billionaire Karel Janecek and decided to help him managing his donations to a non-profit projects. In 2014 they established Karel Janecek Foundation and he became a director of this organization. They have 3 main programs – Education, Social innovations and Kindness.
